The EnGenius EL-2211UB is an IEEE 802.11b Wireless LAN USB adapter. The EL-2211UB will operate in 2.4 GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) for wireless networks in the home or office environment. In addition, the EL-2211UB uses a 64/128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) Encryption for a secure network connection.
The EnGenius EL-2211UB can operate in either Ad-Hoc mode (Peer-to-Peer networking without access point) or Infrastructure mode (Peer-to-Peer networking using an access point). In Infrastructure mode, the EL-2211UB can be connected to a wireless broadband residential gateway for high-speed wireless Internet access on the existing local network.
The EL-2211UB has full mobility and seamless roaming from cell to cell as well as across access points. The range of coverage per cell for indoor use is up to 400 feet and up to 1300 feet per cell for outdoor use.

The EnGenius EL-2011AP1 is an IEEE 802.11b compliant 11 Megabits per second (Mbps) Ethernet wireless Access Point. Once activated with the network, it provides Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) operation for wireless networks delivering transparent bridging and roaming capabilities for wireless nodes.
The EnGenius EL-2011AP1 provides an access point connections building Infrastructure for the network or to extend the reach of the network communications capability. It enables full mobility and seamless roaming from cell to cell.
In bridge mode, the EnGenius EL-2011AP1 can be directly connected to a broadband residential gateway or a xDSL/Cable modem to provide high-speed wireless Internet access. The EnGenius EL-2011AP1 bandwidth data transmission rate can be set manually at 11Mbps, 5.5Mbps, 2Mbps, 1Mbps or it can be set on dynamic auto-sensing configuration. It also supports WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), MAC address control and user authentication to ensure a secure network connection.
The EnGenius EL-2011AP1 has 2 additional RJ-45 LAN Port for existing computers on your network and also, 1 additional Parallel-Port to act as a print server in your network.
